Son of US Captain impresses again

Hawaiian Warfare once again made a big impression over the weekend with a dominant front running win at Harrah's Philadelphia.
The two-year-old gelding by US Captain collected his second straight victory, taking his career record to three starts two wins and one third to date.
After previously defeating older and more experienced opposition, this week Hawaiian Warfare was able to race against his own age group and with his previously strong form was sent out as favourite on Saturday.
Trained by Erin Neilson, Hawaiian Warfare was driven by Mike Cole, who sent the gelding to the front from his barrier draw of one and was able to dictate terms early.
Pressure arrived from the half mile point as rivals started their moves, but as they crept closer Hawaiian Warfare showed great response under the urgings of Mike Cole to skip clear around the home turn and soon but a distance on the field.
He was able to ease down once again over the final 100m to score in 1.54.1, his last quarter in a well held 29 seconds.
The gelding has caught the eye in recent starts, with flawless manners and maturity in his early starts.
"Easing down under confident handling, Hawaiian Warfare wins by three, boy does this guy look good," said Mike Bozich as the race neared the finish line.
"Another under wraps win for Hawaiian Warfare. He did get away with a good first half, but boy this guy's really looked good in his last couple of wins here."
"Even that third at Harrington, where he made up six lengths in the last eight of a mile, that is not something you see every day."
Hawaiian Warfare is set to freshen up ahead of the Delaware Stakes racing in September, where Neilson rates him as an extremely competitive chance in the features.
Neilson will also present US Captain two-year-old filly, US Reveille, in the juvenile fillies features.
It continues an extremely strong start to the siring career of US Captain, who has just three three-year-olds in the US, with one winner (Send Me Ten - two two-year-old wins) and US Heir racing.
And of his four two-year-olds he's now had Hawaiian Warfare (two wins), US Reveille to race and the other two have trialled.
US Captain stands again this season for $3,000 plus GST in New Zealand, and $3,300 in Australia including GST, off the back of serving 94 mares last season.
His service fee will include the working fee for mares bred at Wai Eyre Farm or Macca Lodge.
He presents a pedigree of modern racing royalty, being the son of Captaintreacherous and World Champion, American Jewel and offers exceptional value, with brilliant fertility and now proven progeny performance.
