Although unraced due to injury, Buy Kiwi Made is out of the two win mare Kiwi Express, who has had a prolific career as a broodmare, having six to race and six winners to date, including Buy Kiwi Made's full sister Kiwis Can Fly, who won four. The best of them however, is the multiple Group 1 and 2 winner Kiwi Ingenuity. Kiwi Ingenuity (1.52.1), the winner of 11 races and $523,200 in stakes, also won the 2 and 3 yo Filly of the Year and and the Aged Mare of the Year awards. Other winners left by Kiwi Express, are Rojam Cullen (two wins), A Good Kiwi Chick (four wins), Givematasteofkiwi (three wins) and the latest, Go Kiwi (two wins).
Of interest is that his full sister, Kiwis Can Fly, is the dam of Kiwi Legend, unbeaten in NZ and winner of 10 in Australia, including Group races. Kiwis Can Fly is also the dam of the four race winner As Kiwi As.
Remarkably, Buy Kiwi Made has already sired a Group 2 winner from just four foals born and only one of racing age - an amazing feat!! Sociable (Buy Kiwi Made x Socialiser), has won five and placed four times from just 11 starts. With stakes to date totalling $91,541, Sociable won the Group 2 Queensland Oaks in 2018 and is also the winner of the Redcliffe Oaks.
The trainer of Group 1 winner Sociable, Andrew Stuart notes the following: "Sociable is very tractable and is perfectly gaited with a good turn of foot. She has plenty of bottom to her. She would have raced as a two year old but we gave her some time off when she curbed a hock. I liked my filly so much that sent a mare to Buy Kiwi Made last year and will send another this year".
