Carlton was a convincing debut winner as a 2yo before what looked to be a very exciting racing career, was cut short by injury.

He has some serious breeding, being by Dream Vacation out of a Love You mare Another Love, who is a full sister to the well performed, 15 win Enghien. Carlton's dam, Another Love, has done a great job with her first four foals all being winners. Dream Vacation of course being the sire of such greats as Stent, Leighton Hest, Boizel and Real Deal Yankee.

Carlton showed such immense talent that the decision to stand him at stud was made when his promising racing career ended so very prematurely. In successful trainer and owner Greg Hope's words - "Carlton had really high speed and was such a really good gaited horse - we have had a lot of nice colts over the years, but this was the first one we wanted to give a go at stud"

Having bred just 9 mares in his first year at stud, his first foals are correct and upstanding and are as Greg says "much like himself - he is a very good looking horse".

This is the first year that Carlton has been officially advertised as being at stud - his first two years at stud were simply word of mouth. This did however attract 19 mares to him last year with plenty of breeders taking up the no service fee opportunity for their mares.

Carlton is once again available to breeders with no service fee payable - an unbelievable offer!! Breeders only pay collection fees per collect for their mare. Owner Greg Hope's aim is to give Carlton the best chance to prove himself and get as many mares as possible.
