Former Kiwi pacing mare, Change Tact, didn't take long to gain her first win on Australian soil when winning at Menangle on Tuesday.
The five-year-old daughter of Lazarus was exported at the end of April this year and joined Dean Atkinson's stable in Marulan, New South Wales.
After one unplaced start at Menangle, where she couldn't get a shot at them in the run home and finished under a hold, Change Tact returned to that track on Tuesday and was able to turn the tables.
Driven by Zara Fitzpatrick, Change Tact was forced to work over the mile sitting parked throughout and showed great tenacity to keep grinding away in the straight before pulling clear to win by two lengths in 1.54 for the mile.
It was her seventh career win from 51 starts, and she's also placed on 11 occasions with $72,791 now in earnings.
Change Tact is out of Changedown, a mare by Falcon Seelster.
