The progeny of Lazarus continues to impress in North America.
And all the talk this week has been about the stunning performance of Voukefalas at The Meadowlands on Sunday, where he clocked the fastest mile anywhere in North America for 2026 to date, 1.47.1.
Voukefalas is from the first crop by Lazarus, now six-years-old, and has earned over one million dollars on the track to date and judging by his best lifetime mark over the weekend he has more success to come.
Lazarus has 167 individual winners now in North America, and they have earned 17.5 million overall.
His other stand out earners including Two Pistol Annie ($521,000) and Handlelikeaporsche ($501,000 and a former 2yo Breeders Crown elimination winner).
Lazarus has 57 foals that have earned over $100,000 in their careers and 15 that have earned over $250,000.
Three-year-olds Ooglesarus and Whoa Black Betty have competed with distinction in age features so far this year, with Ooglesaurus winning two heats of the Bobby Weiss before finishing third in the final, and Whoa Black Betty finishing second in her New Jersey Sires Stakes Silver Final following a bold heat win.
Lazarus is also currently third on the two-year-old sires table in the United States on money earned this season.
