Lazarus gelding Happy Too Ya has been on a winning roll, and it looks like that may continue.
The four-year-old was rated perfectly on Thursday night at Penrith by trainer/driver Seaton Grima over the 1720m mobile, finding the lead early and dictating terms.
Happy Too Ya had his rivals off the bit by the home turn, with his main danger, The Sid, right on his back. However Grima was able to hold Happy Too Ya back to the field, before allowing the favourite to hit his stride in the final stages and cruise home untested to win.
It made it four wins in a row for Happy Too Ya, who has now won eight in his career from 42 starts, and placed on a further eight occasions.
Seaton Grima has had a dream run since taking over the training just four starts ago, making it a clean sweep in his barn for the gelding.
Happy Too Ya is out of Ocean Drive, a Live Or Die mare.
Lazarus was also successful at Dubbo on Friday night, when Divine Girl showed a huge amount of resolve to win.
The five-year-old mare was given no peace in front, and despite looking like she was headed in the run home and out on her feet she dug deep to push back and take the victory.
It was her third career win and first win for the season.
Divine Girl is out of Sportswriter mare, Sportygal.
