I’m Connected dazzles in Addington win
Classic Connection three-year-old, I’m Connected, made a huge impression winning fresh up at Addington on Friday night.

Trained by Robert and Jenna Dunn, the gelding was having his first start since April and faced a strong field in the rating 35 to 40 mobile trot over 1980m.
Allowed to find stride in the early stages, I’m Connected advanced his way forward around the field to find the lead with a lap to go.
Despite absorbing pressure in the mid stages from stablemate Brewster Baker, I’m Connected was able to retain the lead and dictate turns down the back straight and soon had his rivals off the bit at the 400m mark.
Entering the home straight driver John Dunn allowed I’m Connected to extend out under minimal urging and cleared away to win emphatically by three lengths over Royal Rock and Chocta.
It was a dominant display, and indicated improvement would naturally come with further race fitness.
I’m Connected was bred in Australia by Pat Driscoll of Yabby Dam Farms, who retain the ownership here in New Zealand.
He is out of Ready Set, a Monarchy mare, who won eight races during her career here in New Zealand.
He has now recorded two wins from just four starts after winning in his debut run in March also at Addington Raceway.
Classic Connection stands for the first time this season at Wai Eyre Farm, on behalf of Yabby Dam Farms.
A European multiple group winner by Love You, he is one of the leading juvenile stallions in Australia this season with his oldest crop now three-year-olds.
