Stallion Roster 2025

We are delighted to confirm our Stallion Roster for the 2025 breeding season, This year we are offering five stallions who we believe are all well priced to meet the current market.  In addition all our stallion's progeny will be eligible for Harness Racing's new Harness5000 series.

We are committed to making breeding affordable and combined with our innovative service fee structures, reduced farm charges and our prompt payment discounts, we believe we can offer a package to suit any breeder.

Lazarus

Now 100% NZ owned, Lazarus needs absolutely no introduction with his feats on the racetrack being legendary.  He is now making his mark as a sire and is headlined by the mighty Voukefalas - p;47.3 , with stakes of over $1 million to date.  Lazarus's progeny continue to impress in North America with the 2yo Prince Willie impressing recently when taking out the Kentucky Proud Series Final in a powerhouse of a performance, easing down to win by 9 lengths in 1:51:3!! 

Not to be outdone here, his progeny in NZ and Australia are also firing on the track with some star performances from the likes of $100,000 plus winners Nathan Street (Group 1 winner), Gervis, the exceptional Jeremiah ($157,030 to-date) and the extremely promising The Lazarus Effect.

US Captain

In conjunction with Macca Lodge, we are excited to bring to down under breeders, the 22 win pacing stallion US Captain who took a mark of 1:49 with a best time of 1:48.1!!.  Boasting a world class pedigree, US Captain has World Champions on both sides of his pedigree being by World Champion sire Captaintreacherous, and out of the World Champion race mare American Jewel who is by American Ideal. 

With an effortless gait, high-end speed and excellent fertility, US Captain offers breeders a stallion with one of the greatest pedigrees in harness racing, and the ability to cross well with mares by Bettor's Delight - all at a very affordable price!

On A Streak

In the trotting ranks, we once again offer the Breeders Crown Champion On A Streak, in association with Haras des Trotteurs.  On A Streak ( t 1:52.4, $920,120) is one of the richest and fastest 2yo trotters to stand at stud in Australasia!! He won the 2020 O'Brien Award Trotting Colt of the Year and won the 2020 US 2yo Breeders Crown, breaking Walner's race record!  Being a son of the legendary Cantab Hall, On A Streak is out of Habits Best who is a half sister to millionaire trotter Civil Action (runner-up in the Elitloppet). 

All Cashed Up

New for this season, in conjunction with Haras des Trotteurs, we will be offering the trotting stallion All Cashed Up.  A son of the super sire of sires Ready Cash, All Cashed consistently won races from ages 2 to 8 and was consistently winning and placing in Group Races.  He smashed his opposition when setting a NZ Record 2700m stand start, starting off the 20m handicap and blitzing the field to win by 3 lengths!  Trainer Bernie Hackett had this to say "We never got to see the best of him due to injury but All Cashed Up was a quality horse with high speed like that of a pacer " 

Carlton

Rounding out our trotting stallions is Carlton. His oldest progeny are now 3yo's and from  just five live 3yo's, three have already qualified!!.  With just two to actually race to-date, Carlton is the sire of the four win Carla Pixie - placing 2nd in the Group 2 NZ 2yo Trotting stakes at just her 3rd start.  Recent qualifiers include impressive  Brooks Spirit, winning a trial by13 lengths and Just For Today, qualifying 7 seconds under the qualifying time.  Carlton's progeny continue to impress with their clean gates, great attitudes and temperaments.
