Yabby Dam Farms and Wai Eyre Farm present exciting new roster

Wai Eyre Farm is proud to work once again in partnership with Yabby Dam Farms to present new and exciting breeding options in the 2026/27 season.

Standing three outstanding Yabby Dam Farms stallions on farm this season, Wai Eyre Farm welcomes Classic Connection and Enchauffour, who join leading first season sire, On A Streak.

Passionate about helping breeders achieve their goals, the two farms are working together to offer the best pedigrees available down under.

Classic Connection

Classic Connection

Classic Connection joins the Wai Eyre Farm roster for the first time for Yabby Dam Farms, standing on farm in Canterbury.

By legendary sire Love You, Classic Connection is a European Group One and Two winner and multiple Group Three winner.

His dam, Crys Dream, was the USA 2YO Trotting Filly of the Year and one of the standout mares of her generation. His pedigree is stacked with excellence, featuring US Breeders Crown winner Brigham Dream 1:53.2 ($639,280) and Swedish Sprint Champion Tae Kwon Deo T1:52 (€221,872).

As at 21st July 2026 Classic Connection has 10 winners from his first crop of only 22 live foals - current 3yos from first Australian crop which includes: Cee Cee In Paris (5 wins, 1:56.9MS, $72,193), Afternoon Breeze (3 wins, 2:01.8MS, $31,720) and Itz Classic Gold (2 wins to date).

Currently at stud he has 45% winners to foals for his first crop, 71% winners to starters from this oldest crop, which are now three-year-olds.

Classic Connection has had four individual two-year-old winners this season 2026 already including: Remembrance Time, Pozzi Tonozzi, Kyvalley Diablo and Insulator.

In New Zealand from just three starters to date he has produced I’m Connected to win on debut as a three-year-old at Addington.

His progeny were in strong demand at the sales in Australia this year, averaging $34,000 across four lots offered, indicating demand and confidence is strong for buyers of his stock.

Classic Connection will stand this season for $4,000 plus GST in New Zealand, and $3,500 plus GST in Australia chilled.

Enchauffour

Enchauffour

Enchauffour is new for 2026/27, and presents one of the most exciting pedigrees to be seen in Australasia for some time.

He is the first son of Volstead to stand at stud in Australasia.

His dam, Dream Island, belongs to one of France’s most outstanding maternal families.

She is out of a daughter of Island Dream, who won eight times at Group level, and left a number of elite winners including Italian Derby winner, Infinitif – a leading international sire and sire of Ecurie D.

The combination of in demand North American blood through Volstead, and the impressive French maternal line makes Enchaffour an attractive and impressive proposition at stud, encapsulating the very best international credentials.

Racing at ages two and three, Enchauffour won five of his 15 career starts (including the Two-Year-Old Breeders Crown), and also placed on six further occasions, including a close second to Mercano in the Breeders Crown and Vicbred Super Series Final, that capped off an impressive juvenile career.

Unfortunately, he was injured at the start of his three-year-old campaign and raced on following extensive treatment, but he was never able to show his full potential during that year.

Trainer Jess Tubbs rated the horse extremely highly, stating that we never saw the best of his potential.

“Enchauffour", or King as we knew him, was a horse with incredible presence both on and off the track.”

“He was one of Greg’s (Sugars) favourites thanks to his phenomenal acceleration and high cruising speed. It was a shame we never got to see him meet his full potential, having been forced into an early retirement without ever being fully extended.”

For breeders seeking the very best in international bloodlines, Enchauffour represents wonderful value as a breeding choice for their trotting mare.

Based at Wai Eyre Farm, Enchauffour will be available in New Zealand for $1,500 plus GST.

On A Streak

On A Streak

Following an impressive start to his siring career, On A Streak remains at Wai Eyre Farm in partnership with Yabby Dam Farms.

A former Breeders Crown winner in North America, On A Streak was named O’Brien Two-Year-Old Trotting Colt of the Year. He earned more than Walner as a two-year-old and went faster than Muscle Hill as a juvenile.

Presenting an American pedigree of outstanding credentials, he is by Cantab Hall, leading sire of sires, and is out of Habits Best (by Muscles Yankee) – a half-sister to the millionaire Civil Action, who ran second in the Elitloppet.

On A Streak has exploded onto the scene at stud across Australasia, with his first winner Bumper Crop now a listed winner and unbeaten in her first three starts.

From ten starters he’s also produced winners in Frazzled (3 starts, 1 win, 2 seconds to date) and Keayang Marcus (1 start, 1 win), and placed performers Chief Kenny (7 starts, 6 seconds) and San Antonio (7 starts, 2 placings).

In New Zealand he’s sired one starter in La Venture, who has had two starts for two seconds to date, including one at Group level.

On A Streak’s oldest progeny are now two-year-olds, he will stand this season for $3,500 plus GST in New Zealand and Australia.
